Partnership with Revive Janitorial
Revive Outreach is committed to helping teens and young adults with limited or no educational opportunities beyond high school access career pathways that provide economic mobility and a family-sustaining wage. With traditional higher education not always meeting the needs of adult learners, our program fills the gap by offering practical skills, training, and confidence to succeed in today’s workforce.
Suit Up for Success: Belts & Bowties
The Belts and Bowties Project brings Black professionals into schools to inspire and equip young Black students with practical career and life skills. At a dedicated career day booth, students will learn how to properly size belts and tie ties, building confidence in their personal presentation. Through this program, participants gain not only hands-on skills but also exposure to role models who reflect their own identities and aspirations. These interactions foster confidence, professionalism, and a sense of belonging in future career paths. The project includes: Skill demonstrations on belt sizing and tie tying Mentorship opportunities with Black professionals across industries Encouragement and dialogue about career goals, self-presentation, and leadership Donations of belts and ties to ensure every student can participate and take away tools for their future By combining mentorship with tangible skills, the Belts and Bowties Project creates meaningful connections that help young people envision themselves as leaders, professionals, and change-makers in their communities.
